Who we are

Sylva is a parenting app that provides screening tests and personalised strategies for home and school for families navigating neurodiversity

Sylva is developed by Spicy Minds Ltd, a company dedicated to solving the problems people face when they are seeking help with their mental health.

Our story

Sylva has been developed by a team of parents and individuals with specialist knowledge who have lived experience of neurodiversity and how it can affect family and school life.

We’ve seen first hand how hard it can be when parents and carers can’t access the help they need. When the wait for NHS support is too long and when private options are too expensive, it can leave families feeling isolated and overwhelmed.

What if there was technology out there that could help families understand the challenges their child faces and provide immediate support for them?

And so, Sylva was born - drawing on our team’s specialist knowledge in neurodiversity, technology, psychology, safeguarding and education.

Our mission

We have a committed team who are specialists in their field including clinicians, safeguarding, and data security experts.

Spicy Minds Ltd is a company limited by shares: we have shareholders but we are committed to non-distribution of profits. Our mission is to have a material positive impact on society and the environment as a whole and this guides our work beyond making a profit.

We are working towards B Corp certification and, as part of this process, have made legal commitments to our wider stakeholders that go beyond shareholders’ interests. We are determined to secure positive outcomes for people in need and that remains our overriding priority.
